  1. Romaniacs Off Road Day 1

    Romaniacs Off Road Day 1

So today we had a tricky start, I got lost in the low morning mist/fog, taking a wrong turn which lost me a few minutes. I then hit a ditch and banged my leg....

After that early drama, I managed to find a bit of rhythm and picked up the pace. The conditions were really mixed throughout the day, some really slippery grass and some dry sections too. Fortunately, the Gold riders missed some of the rain which made some of the descents really tricky for the Silver class riders later on in the afternoon.

Overall I'm chuffed with the P1 today as you can imagine and with a small gap to Mani and Wade but this is just Day 1 so we've got 3 more days of this and you can expect anything to happen. I'm off to get a bit of rest now as I'm sure the overnight in the tent tomorrow won't be as comfortable as the apartment!

Looking forward to a great day tomorrow!

  3. Getting ready for Romaniacs

    Getting ready for Romaniacs

Sibiu, Romania       Friday 23 July 2021

Last time we were here in Sibiu, I got so close to the win, a little mistake on the last day and Mani pipped me.... So far this year, I’m really pleased with the two podium finishes but Billy is on fire so he's going to be hard to beat. With Mani looking to get back to back wins here and also in good form the competition has never been stronger. I expect Jonny and the Sherco boys to come back fighting too...

However, I've been riding well and I'm totally prepared to compete for that record breaking 7th win. Romaniacs over 5 days gives me time to show those youngsters I've lost nothing!

If it isn't me then I'll be cheering for #23 Teodor Kabakchiev as my pick for a top 5 and Grant Churchward to keep up the great performances. I am biased of course as they are riding for Jarvis Husqvarna Racing!!

It's now the 18th Edition of Red Bull Romaniacs, I've come here directly from Abestone t
