Jarvis Racing: Success at Valleys Xtreme Enduro Race

Jarvis team take on the Valleys Xtreme with Jono Richardson taking the win!

Last weekend saw the Jarvis Racing team compete in two-day competition at magnificent Walters Arena in South Wales. With Grant Churchward supporting the guy's riding, the hot Yorkshire duo of Jono Richardson and Sam Winterburn competed in the two-day competition which included a lite and qualification race on Saturday the 29th of January and an AM and PM Xtreme Enduro Race on Sunday 30th of January.

With 160 riders competing, this is one of the most popular events, attracting Enduro enthusiasts from across the UK and a few overseas competitors too. Both Sam and Jono competed in the 3-hour PM Xtreme Enduro Race on Sunday with Sam finishing 10th and Jono smashing it with a dominant 1st place.  An outstanding performance from the start, Jono dominated the whole race finishing over 5 minutes ahead of 2nd place! Having qualified an excellent 3rd, Sam was hit with electrical gremlins that lost him a huge chunk of time, but then Sam fought back to a very creditable 10th place overall. 

Jono commented; 

"It's always a great race down at Valleys extreme, I rode smoothly all weekend with only a few small mistakes, I surprised myself taking the speed test win! I didn’t feel I rode at my absolute best in the main race, but it was nice to take the lead early in the 1st lap and keep a constant rhythm for over 2 hours of racing. We keep moving forward and I can't wait to compete in Israel for the kick off of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship!" 

A slightly frustrated Sam commented;  

'It's always a fun weekend at Valleys Extreme. I had a couple of good rides on Saturday finishing 3rd overall. Really enjoyed the main race, a couple of bike issues cost me a lot of time, but managed to push hard, gain a few places and lost time on the 2nd lap. Happy to get another finish in such a tough event. A huge thanks to Grant and his family for all their help and support over the weekend!' 

Jarvis, from the somewhere in the jungles of Brazil commented; 

"I'm really proud of the boys and how hard they worked at the weekend. It's so satisfying to see our hard work paying off. Jono smashed it and Sam was very unlucky. Now the team and I will be preparing for the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship and we look forward to seeing all the fans at the upcoming races in Tong and Israel!"
